Where is the Grotto?

The Grotto is located at 7 Sandgate Rd, CT20 1SB. It’s just by the town, opposite Bonmarche.

Do we need to book ahead?

Yes, you do. We won’t take any visitors without a pre-purchased ticket

Is there a discount for larger groups?

Yes, the first child is £8.50, then only £7 for every additional child.

How long does a visit to the Grotto last?

Depending on your party size, around 10 minutes. Please arrive a little early, as we will be booked up all day, and if you’re not on time, you may miss your slot, and we cannot offer refunds.

What happens during our visit?

You will be welcomed by Santa’s elf. At this point, grownups can grab a mulled wine or mince pie if they like to keep them warm while the kids are helping our elf with a very special mission.

The reindeer have lost their magic food, and it's your children's mission to help our elf work out where Santa has left it. Once they solve the puzzle, they will have to summon Santa using a very special spell.

Once Santa has arrived, the children will get the chance to meet him in person and share their Christmas wish and receive a small gift from the big man himself.

Do the children get a gift?

Of course they do! Every child will receive a small wrapped gift and some reindeer food. If you want, you can also add an extra treat at checkout,

What about the grown-ups?

Don't you worry, our elves have been hard at work perfecting their mulled wine and mince pies. You can pre-order at checkout for a discount, or grab some from our elves when you arrive.

Do we have disabled access?

There is a small single step into the grotto of about 15 cm. Due to the nature of the building, we do not have a toilet.

Can we bring all the family?

Santa loves all the family, but due to limited space, we ask that only 2 adults attend and no more than 3 children for each booking.

Can we bring our pets?

Our elves are a little jumpy this time of year, so we would ask you to leave pets at home that would be great.

Can we take photos?

You are welcome to take photos, but we would ask that no videos are taken so as not to ruin the surprises for all the other little boys and girls.
